Start of a dream...

Welcome to our blog. Here's the concept. We are a young married couple of DINKs (Double Income, No Kids) who are remodeling 1/2 of our house. We moved in almost three years ago and love our little home, but it isn't all how we want it. The previous owners did a lot of the work for us. They remodeled the bathroom, kitchen and living room, but didn't touch the two bedrooms that make up one end of the house. Our little home is quite little. In fact, too little to need two (small) bedrooms. We thought the space could be better used as one master bedroom. This blog will follow our journey from two ugly rooms to a master bedroom of our dreams (at least the dreams we can afford on our budget, which is small). We are doing this blog not only to track our progress to have as a keepsake of our work, but we are also doing this, I hope, to inspire others to realize their dreams of a happy home no matter their skill level, or budget.

Neither of us are professionals carpenters or have done anything like this before, but do have the support of family and friends to guide us through this adventure. Thanks in advance to all that help us.
